The FLS40C240S from ETERN Optoelectronics is a 40G QSFP+ ER4 optical transceiver designed for long-reach data communication. It supports link lengths of up to 40km over a standard pair of G.652 single-mode fiber (SMF) using duplex LC connectors.

The 40 Gigabit Ethernet signal is carried over four CWDM wavelengths (1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331nm), with multiplexing and demultiplexing managed internally. This module is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-ER4 standards and also supports OTU3 and ODR/DDR InfiniBand applications, making it a versatile choice for enterprise core and metro networking.
