In June 2020, ETERN officially released the SFP28 MWDM optical module. This product is applied to the Open-WDM: MWDM system of China Mobile's 5G fronthaul semi-active solution. On the basis of reusing the first 6 wavelengths of 25G CWDM, TEC is added to achieve 12 wavelengths, which can save fiber resources and reduce the number of users. Construction cost; the optical layer top-adjustment technology performs OAM management, realizes the functions of system query, configuration, and active reporting, and ensures that the fronthaul solution is checkable, controllable, and manageable. Open-WDM: The MWDM solution has the capabilities of flexible deployment, fault location, optical layer protection, etc., which can improve the efficiency of network management, operation and maintenance; it is a systematic upgrade of the existing 5G fronthaul solution and a new direction for the future development of 5G construction and upgrading of new infrastructure.

In the Q1 phase of 2020, ETERN was invited to actively participate in the pre-standard formulation and system testing of operator partners. MWDM series products have been recognized by major equipment manufacturers in the joint debugging test. At present, samples of MWDM AM and FM solutions have been output for semi-active equipment manufacturers to conduct certification testing.

Based on the accumulation and precipitation of the industrialization capabilities of CWDM/DWDM color optical modules in SFP28, ETERN has a good industrialization foundation, and has laid the groundwork and preparations in the technical reserves, industrial automation and supply chain of MWDM optical modules. , and currently has the ability to deliver in batches.
