Etern Optoelectronics launched 100GHz DWDM TFF (Thin Film Filter), recently announced to solve the technical difficulties of temperature shift, product performance and reliability have reached the international advanced level, to provide one more good choice for DWDM TFF users.

TFF is the core chip in dense wavelength division multiplexer DWDM transmission network, which is widely used in OTN backbone, metro area network and 5G fronthaul network.  Etern Optoelectronics began to invest heavily in the TFF industry from 2019, currently has a number of coating machines and advanced production and testing equipment, using advanced ion-assisted deposition IAD technology, ultra-smooth polishing process, the surface flatness is less than 0.3nm, temperature shift in -40~85℃ wide range is less than 0.11pm/℃, achieve the international class 1 level.

It is reported that lots of research institutions and enterprises in the TFF industry have some research and results, but the performance of wavelength temperature shift control has not been commercially available, so the DWDM TFF chip industry has long been occupied by few companies in the leading position.  Adhering to the endless spirit of creative engineering, the team of TFF technology team focuses on the research of basic material technology, matching the temperature performance of TFF electrolyte film and silicon dioxide substrate, and finally achieve DWDM TFF temperature shift less than 0.11pm/℃, reaching or leading the performance level of similar products of current vendors.  

 

Etern Optoelectronics 100GHz DWDM TFF has been mass produced and commercial application in the global telecom network, 50GHz DWDM TFF has completed small batch trial production, and also accept customized CWDM4 and LWDM Z-block TFF and Z-block finished products.  The product has passed various reliability tests, including ultra-high temperature aging 120℃ and 85℃ 85%RH PCT test for more than 1000 hours, meeting the international reliability standards of GR-1221-Core.  DWDM products of various packaging types have been delivered more than 1.2 million channels, with a total output value of more than 20 million USD.
